A Transcript Without a Certified Court Reporter’s Signature: The Legal and Ethical Implications

A certified court reporter’s signature is the backbone of a legally sound transcript. Without it, the transcript lacks credibility and admissibility in court. This raises serious ethical and legal concerns, as uncertified transcripts can mislead courts, compromise due process, and undermine the integrity of judicial proceedings.
